Bryanne head shot.jpg

Bryanne was born and raised in Burns Lake, BC. Her floral career started there in 2000, but really bloomed while she lived and worked in Calgary as a floral designer. Bryanne completed her design training at the Canadian Institute of Floral Design in Toronto in the winter of 2009. Bryanne was lead designer in two fast paced flower stores in Calgary, until BC called her home in 2016. There, she began her own business designing wedding flowers from a studio in her home. In 2019, Wild Roots Flowers & Gifts became a reality. Bryanne was finally able to launch her passion project, a store of her own, in her home town. She opened the doors to Wild Roots Flowers & Gifts that May and has been loving every minute of it since.

Wild Roots Flowers & Gifts is a fresh store with a selection of Canadian giftware, stunning flowers, indoor plants and some home decor. We pride ourselves on offering giftware that is ethically made and sourced. Bryanne makes sure she purchases locally grown flowers, waste is composted and recycled. Wild Roots has also allowed Bryanne to expand her wedding services (her favorite part), Bryanne and Team create stunning wedding flowers for couples throughout Northern British Columbia.

Wild Roots Flowers & Gifts is always growing and has recently expanded their reach to include delivery service to Fraser Lake, Vanderhoof and Prince George, Houston and Smithers.

The team of Wild Roots Flowers & Gifts is beyond proud to call Burns Lake home, we work hard to incorporate the beauty of the area  into our work. We are constantly educating ourselves and growing, working with current trends and meeting new inspiration.

KRISTEN

Kristen began working at Wild Roots in the spring of 2020. Bryanne was very excited to have her on board, not only because she is wildly talented but she is also Bryanne’s sister. Kristen moved home to Burns Lake with her husband and fur baby and we are so lucky to have her.

She is a book LOVER, if you need a recommendation on what book to read next, look her up on Instagram!  She loves to be outside taking in nature or to be snuggled up with a book. Kristen manages all of our social media platforms and is a huge help to Bryanne in all other areas of the store. She is also our resident plant expert (thank goodness we have one)!

RIVEY

Rivey was the first employee to work with Bryanne at Wild Roots. She started in May of 2019 but moved away to school in late 2020. BUT she came back! We are thrilled to have Rivey back on the team part time.

She is a great designer and she is quickly learning new skills and techniques. Rivey helps in all areas of the studio and is full of good ideas. She is always willing to lend a hand.

Much like Brookie, she is an animal lover, and proud Fur-mama to Lux. She is quick to make us laugh and she always has a smile on her face.

FRANK

Frank (or Frank the Tank/Frankie) is our official greeter! He is pretty busy around the shop soaking up all of the sun, making sure adequate nap time is logged and dismantling the stems that fall on the floor.

Frankie loves kids and playing with big dogs. He is pretty attached to Bryanne – you will often see him out helping with deliveries or tearing apart boxes. He would love, love, love it if you gave his belly a scratch.
