FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is your pricing like?

Every wedding is different, with our custom weddings we work with you to build the wedding flowers of your dreams. We will set up a consultation (either in person, via email or phone) and go through all the things you like and what you do not like and what pieces you require. From there we can come up with recipes and generate a proposal (quote). Prices of individual items such as bridal bouquets, vary depending on stems used, style and size.
-How soon should I book my wedding florist?

We recommend booking your florist once you have your color scheme and bridesmaids’ dresses confirmed. You should book at the latest, six months out. This allows us to work with your ideas and generate a quote as well as gives us plenty of time to start working with our suppliers. However, if you have your heart set on a certain florist or wedding vendor, book sooner than later to insure you get the date you want.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. We require a 20% non-refundable deposit of the designed items. This gives us the security to begin communicating with our growers and suppliers. It holds your date with us.

What if COVID restrictions prevent me from having my wedding?

We will work with you. Many of our couples have decided to postpone their dates, if that is the case, the deposit goes towards your new event date. Alternatively, some couples have opted to have a small ceremony, in that case, the deposit goes towards flowers for that day.

I don’t know where or how to start planning my wedding?

No problem, this is a good start. Give us a shout, we would be happy to set up a free consultation to go over some of these details. We do offer event coordination, but the consultation is free. We would be happy to help you get started.

If I work with seasonal flowers, will my bouquet be cheaper?

Not necessarily, some flowers such as peonies are always expensive (unfortunately). We do offer a seasonal package. That package includes set items and a set budget. All you have to do is tell us your colors and style. From there we will work from an assortment of flowers available at that time to create you beautiful wedding flowers. That allows us to pull from a variety of product available seasonally and year-round without any surprises to the budget.

What do I need to bring to the consultation?

Honestly, with our interactive world, normally just your phone. Most couples start saving photos and ideas as soon as the thought of a wedding comes up. Bring those photos. It is great for a florist to see what you like and don’t like, your colors, your bridesmaid’s dresses, your venue and any inspirational ideas or photos you may have collected. The more information you give us, the better we understand your vision, personality, and story.

I want to book, what is the next step?

Awesome! Thank you. If you have received a proposal you are happy with let us know. From there we will get you to sign our contract that goes over all the nitty gritty details and we require a 20% deposit of the designed items. Those two things hold your date and books Wild Roots as your florist. If we haven’t had a consultation yet, give us a shout and we will get the process started.

I just got engaged what do I do?!

Congratulations! What an exciting time! Thank you for searching us out. First off enjoy it, take a breath, take it all in. Then set up a preliminary consultation with Wild Roots to get you off on the right foot! We have a great list of preferred vendors and resources to help you plan your wedding.

Do you deliver?

Yup, we sure do throughout Northern BC! And we provide installation and set up of the floral pieces. We do not offer take down or clean up at this time.

Do you have a minimum?

Yes we do. We set it low ($500) in hopes of accommodating all couples but wedding flowers require a lot of time and preparation before we even get our hands on the flowers. Often weddings require specific varieties of blooms to achieve that perfect look, which are expensive and often we don’t need the whole bundle. By setting a minimum, we are able to protect our small business from a little of that loss.
